Lossiemouth
Lossiemouth is located on the most northerly point of the south
coast of the Moray Firth in the North East of Scotland.
The Morayshire town boasts miles of golden beaches and is in
an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Situated on the mouth of the River Lossie, Lossiemouth was
originally the port of Elgin which offers many local attractions
and amenities and is located approximately half way between the major
Scottish cities of Aberdeen and Inverness.

Lossiemouth has two golf courses provided by The Moray Golf
Club. The Old Course established in 1889, designed by Old Tom
Morris and the 18 hole New Course, designed by Sir Henry Cotton,
opened in 1979. Further information on the courses and the
club can be found on their website:

Lossiemouth experiences a temperate climate with relatively
low rainfall making it an ideal year round visitor location. The
area is a haven for wildlife including the Moray Firth's
resident Bottle-nosed Dolphins and seals. There are many
beautiful walks in the area including The Moray Coastal Trail
and numerous designated cycle paths, as well as off-road tracks
for the more adventurous. Surfers can be found on the beaches
year round and the harbour offers every amenity for sailors
and motor-boaters alike.

Aircraft enthusiasts have ample opportunity to view the resident
Tornado Squadrons of RAF Lossiemouth, along with regular
visiting aircraft from other nations.
